‘-1287’ Screens in Taiwan

Press Conference to be held about Cancelled Screenings of Fukushima Film
Following the cancellation of all Japan domestic screenings of Ian’s documentary ‘A2-B-C’ last month, the Foreign Correspondents” Club of Japan (FCCJ) will be hosting a Screening and Press Conference about the issue on May 12 at 14:00. North American Premier of -1287 to be held in Oregon
After screening his film ‘A2-B-C’ (2013) in Nebraska this week, Ian will be moving on to Oregon, where the North American premier of ‘-1287’ (2014) will be held in the Ashland Independent Film Festival. Information about the screenings of both of these films can be found on the DocumentingIan Blog.
‘A2-B-C’ screening committee dissolved
Following the recent cancellations of all screenings of ‘A2-B-C’ in Japan, the dissolution of the ‘A2-B-C’ Screening Committee in Japan was announced on the Facebook page and Twitter account of the film. Ian also posted the announcement on the DocumentingIan Blog.
All Domestic Screenings of ‘A2-B-C’ to be Cancelled

Screenings Held ahead of 4th Anniversary of March 11 Disaster
As the 4th anniversary of the March 11, 2011, triple disasters of earthquake, tsunami and nuclear meltdown approaches, screenings of Ian’s film ‘A2-B-C‘ are being held around Japan and the world, including the US, Canada, Germany and New Zealand. “Even the Birds” Awarded at Snowtown Film Fest

“Sharp” and “Riveting”: review of Ian’s disaster films
A review of Ian’s films about the Fukushima nuclear disaster, ‘In the Grey Zone’ (2012) and ‘A2-B-C’ (2013), has been published in the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga’s academic journal Education About Asia. The review described the films as “sharp” and “riveting” and Ian’s interview technique as “superb”. The full review can be found HERE.
Middle Eastern Premier of ‘A2-B-C’ held in Jordan
The Middle Eastern Premier of ‘A2-B-C‘ was held this week during the Amman edition of the Uranium Film Festival. At the recently held Lake Champlain International Film Festival, Ian’s two films about Fukushima, ‘In the Grey Zone’ (2012) and ‘A2-B-C’ (2013), were awarded the “The Golden Honey Comb for Outstanding Work in Film”.
