East Coast mini-tour of ‘A2-B-C’ in March
Screenings of ‘A2-B-C’ will be held at the end of March in Washington, D.C, New York City and the Bryn Mawr Film Institute in Pennsylvania. More details, including dates, times and for which screenings Ian is scheduled to be in attendance, are here.
Marking the 3rd anniversary of March 11
As the third anniversary of the March 11 triple disasters are marked across the world this week, Ian has written two pieces on his blog about his experiences over the past three years. In this piece, he shared his thoughts about being labeled an “activist” filmmaker. Then in this one, he shared the English version of his article about the recently passed Secrecy Law in Japan. Originally published in German earlier this month, Ian shared publicly for the first time about one of the major obstacles he faced last year as worked to document the ongoing situation in Fukushima. 3rd anniversary of March 11screenings
As the 3rd anniversary of the March 11 disaster approaches, Ian continues to travel with his 2nd feature documentary about the nuclear meltdown, ‘A2-B-C’. Having recently visited India, Texas and Taiwan with the film (read about those screenings HERE), Ian is currently on his way to Germany where ‘A2-B-C’ (WEBSITE) will be screened on the opening day of the IPPNW-sponsored International Conference on the Effects of Nuclear Disasters on the Natural Environment and Human Beings (INFO). Anniversary screenings are also planned in Holland, Switzerland, Poland and the US (INFO).
Fourth Leg of the ‘A2-B-C’ World Tour Begins in India
Over the next month, ‘A2-B-C’, Ian’s documentary about children living in Fukushima, will be screened in India, Texas, Taiwan and Germany. The details of the screenings can be found on Ian’s personal blog HERE.

Third Leg of the ‘A2-B-C’ World Tour Begins
The third leg of ‘A2-B-C’ screenings in film festivals around the world begins with the first ever Raindance Berlin and ends with screenings in Taiwan. ‘A2-B-C’ Awarded in Ukraine
The second leg of the ‘A2-B-C’ world tour ended this week in the Ukraine with the film receiving the award for Best Documentary at the STEPS Rights Film Festival. More information on the award can be found HERE. The third leg of the ‘A2-B-C’ world tour begins next week with screenings in Berlin and Taiwan. This will be followed by a short promotional tour in Japan with screenings in Sendai, Kyoto, Kobe and Hiroshima (details HERE) in December.
Ian visits Chernobyl Museum’s exhibit on Fukushima
Between screenings of ‘A2-B-C’ in Poland and Ukraine, Ian visited the Chernobyl Museum in Kiev to witness the recently installed exhibit on Fukushima. Ian’s first-hand account and photographs about this powerful experience can be found on his personal blog (HERE).
