‘A2-B-C’ screening committee dissolved
Following the recent cancellations of all screenings of ‘A2-B-C’ in Japan, the dissolution of the ‘A2-B-C’ Screening Committee in Japan was announced on the Facebook page and Twitter account of the film. Ian also posted the announcement on the DocumentingIan Blog.
All Domestic Screenings of ‘A2-B-C’ to be Cancelled

Screenings Held ahead of 4th Anniversary of March 11 Disaster
As the 4th anniversary of the March 11, 2011, triple disasters of earthquake, tsunami and nuclear meltdown approaches, screenings of Ian’s film ‘A2-B-C‘ are being held around Japan and the world, including the US, Canada, Germany and New Zealand. “Even the Birds” Awarded at Snowtown Film Fest

“Sharp” and “Riveting”: review of Ian’s disaster films
A review of Ian’s films about the Fukushima nuclear disaster, ‘In the Grey Zone’ (2012) and ‘A2-B-C’ (2013), has been published in the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga’s academic journal Education About Asia. The review described the films as “sharp” and “riveting” and Ian’s interview technique as “superb”. The full review can be found HERE.
Middle Eastern Premier of ‘A2-B-C’ held in Jordan
The Middle Eastern Premier of ‘A2-B-C‘ was held this week during the Amman edition of the Uranium Film Festival. Ian’s two films about Fukushima awarded at fesitval
At the recently held Lake Champlain International Film Festival, Ian’s two films about Fukushima, ‘In the Grey Zone’ (2012) and ‘A2-B-C’ (2013), were awarded the “The Golden Honey Comb for Outstanding Work in Film”. Screenings of Ian’s films continue around the world
Screenings of ‘A2-B-C‘ continue, with Ian recently accompanying the film on the continuing domestic tour of Japan to the cities of Wakayama, Fukuoka and Oita (at which the PHOTO accompanying this post was taken). Ian is also scheduled to be in attendance at upcoming screenings in New York and Montreal later this month. ‘-1287‘, Ian’s latest film, is then scheduled to be screened in Iran in December. The last international screening of ‘A2-B-C’ this year will take place in Jordon in December with Ian scheduled to be in attendance. Asian Premier of ‘-1287’ held in Taiwan
This week, the Asian Premier of ‘-1287‘ (2014, JAPAN), Ian’s latest film, was held during the Taiwan International Documentary Festival in Taipei. Singapore Premier of ‘A2-B-C’ held during International Workshop
The Singapore Premier of Ian’s film ‘A2-B-C‘ (2013, JAPAN) was held this weekend during the workshop “Exposure and Effect: Measuring safety, environment and life in Asia“. The screening, held at the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, was sponsored by Teach.311 In addition to the screening, Ian took part in a “taidan” entitled “Orbiting in the field: Ecology and filmmaking in Tohoku Japan” with biologist and Chernobyl/ Fukushima researcher Dr. Timothy Mousseau.
