‘-1287’ to hold World Premier in UK’s Raindance
It has just been announced that the World Premier of ‘-1287’, Ian’s latest documentary, will be held in London’s Raindance Film Festival (Sept 24-0ct 5). ‘A2-B-C’ to screen in Brooklyn’s Greenpoint FF

Asian Premier of ‘-1287’ Announced
The Asian Premier of Ian’s newest documentary ‘-1287’ (2014, 70 min, JAPAN) will take place in the Taiwan International Documentary Film Festival (October 9-19). Following Theatrical Release, ‘A2-B-C’ Private screenings
As the Japan-wide theatrical release of ‘A2-B-C’ continues to unfold private screenings of the film are being held in cities across the country. While Ian is not able to attend all of the private screenings, he has recently held post-screening Q&A sessions with audiences in the prefectures of Saitama, Ibaraki and Nagano, as well as the cities of Tokyo, Kobe and Kamakura.
Theatrical Release of ‘A2-B-C’ extends to Western Japan
After a successful six-week run in the cinema in Tokyo (STORY), theatrical release of ‘A2-B-C’ extends to the Western Japan cities of Hiroshima and Nagoya (HERE), Kyoto (HERE) and Osaka (HERE).
Beyond the cinema, Ian’s films used for education
In addition to the Japan-wide release of ‘A2-B-C’, Ian has been invited to screen his work in educational contexts, most recently at symposiums at Tokyo University of the Arts (info HERE) and the International Christian University (info HERE).
Anonymous attack on ‘A2-B-C’ spurs ticket sales
An anonymous attack on Ian, his film ‘A2-B-C’ and the mothers who are documented in it appears to have contributed to an increase in the number of theatre-goers in Tokyo this week.
