“Mr. Hata and T” Japanese-version published
For the one year anniversary of Mr. Hata and T’s reunion, over the past three days Ian has retweeted each part of their story translated into Japanese at the exact same time as the original English Tweets were posted. 6th anniversary of March 11 triple disasters marked
It has been six years since the March 11, 2011, triple disasters of earthquake, tsunami and nuclear meltdown struck Japan. Suturing Cultures, Ian’s latest documentary program, is now available to stream for free On Demand from the NHK World website until February 20. Personal “director’s interview” published
Leading up the broadcast premier of Suturing Cultures, Ian’s latest film, a private conversation between the director and his sister edited together with old family photos has been published on the homepage for the film. Details about “Suturing Cultures”, Ian’s latest documentary, have just been published on the Documenting Blog. The film follows a group of young Japanese medical students as they prepare for a future of becoming doctors when they must navigate issues of culture, religion and sexual orientation… in English.
