‘A2’ preview screening and press conference to be held in Tokyo
Ahead of the World Premier at the Nippon Connection Film Festival in Germany in June, there will be a preview screening and press conference for Ian’s documentary ‘A2′ on May 13 at the Foreign Correspondents’ Club of Japan. Details for the screening and press conference can be found HERE.
‘A2’ featured in the Visions du Réel Doc Market April 19-26
‘A2’ (70 minutes, 2013, Japan), about the increasing number of children in Fukushima found to have thyroid cysts and nodules following the nuclear meltdown, will be showcased in the 2013 Visions du Réel International Documentary Film Festival Doc Market in Nyon, Switzerland. The Doc Market, which runs during the festival from April 19-26, consists of 350 documentaries selected by the Visions du Réel programmers to be offered on demand to distributors and festival programmers. Ian’s first feature documentary ,‘The Ballad of Vicki and Jake’ (84 minutes, 2006, UK), won the Prix du Canton Vaud (best first film) at the same festival in 2006.

‘In Containment’ to screen in Paris
Ian’s documentary ‘In Containment’ (2012, Japan) about the situation in Fukushima fifteen months after the nuclear meltdown will screen on March 22, 2013, in Paris. Details can be found here.
Second anniversary of March 11 disaster

Ian posts short documentary for 2nd anniversary of March 11
As the second anniversary of March 11 approaches, Ian has published a new short documentary on his DocumentingIan Channel. The documentary combines footage from the documentaries Ian shot shortly after the tsunami and nuclear meltdown along with footage never before published.
